A personal “dream” project. A logo for the fictional Southeast Design and Architecture Cooperative. SDAC or pronounced “stack.”
This organization, if it were started, would be a regional design co-lab and centre in which designers could come and go, work casually, make connections, organize events and partnerships, put on mini shows, host awards, and collaborate on increasing the influence of design in our communities.
The logo and name are meant to be simple and catchy, easy to remember, but also to manipulate and use for branding imagery. The blocky letters are angled and positioned to give a sense of mass and the possibility of actual stacking. They represent buildings positioned around each other, strong graphic elements being layered, etc.
